Because the night – Patti Smith

Una delle più belle canzoni per me. Come dire fate l’amore non la guerra!

 Originariamente fu incisa dal Boss, Bruce Springsteen,  durante la registrazione dell’album Darkness On The Edge Of The Town. Si dice che il gruppo di Patti Smith stesse incidendo Easter nella sala accanto, e che ci fossero stati inevitabili scambi di nastri. La versione originale di Springsteen  era una specie di lamento di un lavoratore, una working song; pensando che non avesse posto nell’album, la cedette a Patti Smith. Facendola così divenire una delle canzoni più famose del XX secolo.
